About Me

I'm a 100% Service Connected Vietnam
era veteran with C-4, 5 & 6 spinal cord
injury. I have completely reversed a 12 year
diagnoses of Insulin Dependant Diabetes Mellitus, formerly controlled
with an Animas IR-1200 insulin pump, by
adopting a total vegan diet and 30 minute daily
exercise plan. I'm a published writer with
a profound love of life. Having survived surgically
repaired left iliac artery aneurysm in year 2002, I
was diagnosed with a new abdominal aorta aneurysm
which has held steady at 4.5 cm since discovery in
2007. I have
come to recognize God as the supreme
author of my life and it is, therefore, my
most sincere desire to honor and commune with Him
daily. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
and His righteousness; and all these things shall be
added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)
One of the greatest blessings of my life has been
realized in discovering and finally marrying the
girl of my dreams, Jevalene. I have never felt such
Joy, as we seem fitted for each other like a hand
and glove!
I
enjoy giving of my time and abilities in
serving others around the world, beginning right
here in my local community. Paralyzed Veterans Of America
and Disabled American Veterans are very important
organizations in addition to my church family and I
am an active volunteer at the local Veterans Affairs
Medical Center and nursing homes. I enjoy helping
fellow veterans, especially those with special
needs, and serve on the Board of Directors and as VA
Hospital Liaison for my state chapter of
Paralyzed Veterans of America, advocating for
veteran's rights and serving as a watchdog and
holding the VA to account.
"He who does nothing for others does nothing for
himself."
-- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

While I'm Able
As a
"functional quadriplegic" I'm doing all that I can to further causes important
to me. I'm actively involved in my community and
volunteer my equipment and time, mowing the
community park and keeping my neighbor's driveways
open during winter storms. My dogs, Bud and Cali are
like shadows, following at my heels wherever I go
about the property.
